Generating Consistent Leads Through Blogging

When I talk to my healthcare tech clients about what kind of content consistently generates leads for them, “blogging” is always included in their answer.

This is where I have to stop and make some distinctions though, because blogging alone doesn’t work in the business world. To generate leads, your blog must be strategic, meaning it should be…

Focused: Broad topics that the entire industry is talking about won’t work on their own. Everything you publish should be directly tied to your prospects’ biggest pain points.

Consistent: Too many healthcare tech blogs run hot and cold. That’s a missed opportunity to build trust and maybe even a poor reflection on your dedication as an organization.

Well-distributed: SEO is important for pulling in leads, even in B2B, but content should also be pushed out on social and email lists that you’re building at conferences, through sales efforts, and from past conversions.

Action-oriented: A blog is dead if it doesn’t ask your prospect to take an additional step to connect.

Most of my blogging clients come to me not just because of my native understanding and continuous education in healthcare tech—they come to me because I help them establish a rhythm and stay on it. Here’s a peek at what that process could look like for you…

Establishing the Basics

After identifying which healthcare or hospital decision-makers you need to connect with, we’ll decide on their key pain points and translate those into the hot topics that will get (and keep) their attention. Once we nail down the slant that will make them uniquely yours (controversial, informative, caring, informal, etc.)  we’re ready to start creating!

Highlighting Your Benefits

Each post will plainly push toward a specific product or service that you offer…how “salesy” you want the language to be us up to you. I’m trained in soft sale approaches and direct response writing, so you can go as far in either direction as you like.

Getting Results

Most importantly, we’ll finish by determining the metrics and calls to action that will best support your demand generation strategy. That might be an offer to download a whitepaper, set up a demo, or make a direct call. We can mix them up as needed or experiment and test results as we go.

So how much are automated leads worth to you?…

I charge between $200-$300 (for a 400-700 word post) and you can set up your package to publish as often as you like (though I recommend between once a week and once a month.) This includes meeting and research time, delivery, plagiarism free guarantee, as well as images and posting into your CMS if needed. And if you want to give your busy executives and leaders the option to listen to your posts during their commute, you have the option of an audio version for an additional $50. (Here’s an example.)
